The group & their respective partners travel to Europe to spread their close friend's ashes & prove that they can still be fun — even in their 60s.

How often do we live through two, three, or even more versions of ourselves during one lifetime? How often do we change, irreversibly, under the influence of other people, often close relatives? The timid Polya (24) works as an accountant and studies economics. She is in love with Kirill (25), who is her polar opposite. Kirill is a young cameraman: ambitious and talented. Kirill and Polya love each other and try to live together, but each of them has their own philosophy, their own value system and their own convictions. Even when they part, Kirill and Polya continue to carry on an inner dialogue with each other. Everyone tries to prove to the other that they can achieve everything on the other’s wish list. Twenty years later they meet, and now the heroes must find out the most important thing: whether one of them has found happiness in those years.

Jun, who was once an amateur boxer, becomes acquainted with Min-Yong by chance. Jun wants to help him and sends him to a kindergarten. Min-Yong makes the kindergarten fussy and makes the teacher Yu-Ra in trouble. Jun meets Yu-Ra to discuss about Min-Yong, and they fall in love with each other. Jun leaves for hard training, and Min-Yong is sent to Children's Welfare Institute for adoption, but he runs away from there. Min-Yong meets Dal-Kom in secret, but Dal-Kom asks Yu-Ra for help. Consequently, they bring Min-Yong, who loses consciousness, to the hospital. On the other hand, Jun wins in the title match with the Thai's champion Okampo. He celebrates his victory with Yu-Ra and Min-Yong. Finally, Min-Yong says goodbye to them and heads for the airport.

Almost Grown is an American television drama series about a couple, whose lives are explored during three time periods of their lives. The series was well received by critics, but aired for only 10 episodes between 27 November 1988 and 20 February 1989 due to low ratings. The series is notable for being co-created by David Chase, who would later go on to create the critically and commercially successful HBO original series The Sopranos. Many themes appearing in Almost Grown were later explored in The Sopranos.
